I haven't been on here for awhile. For the last three months I've ramped up the physical fitness routine with the goal of becoming healthier before my knee replacement surgery... which happens tomorrow sometime. I'm waiting for the call from the hospital and reading a Hip & Knee Replacement Forum (Bonesmart) that I discovered this morning.
I'm hoping my initial 6 weeks of recovery won't be entirely filled with resting on an incline to reduce pain/swelling, range of motion exercises, anti-blood clot exercises, walker walks and icing. I'm planning to do some scrapbooking (of course) and make a/some baby/toddler quilt(s). Yesterday I started cutting out the fabrics for a quilt I found in Fons & Porter's 2014 summer issue of Love of Quilting, "Ladybug! Ladybug!" Of course I searched Fabricland and five different quilt shops for the white print and couldn't find it... must be too new. But the one I found will work just as well. I fell in love with the quilt because I love green, ladybugs and bright colours. Hmmm, anyone think this is too bright for a baby blanket? Toddler, maybe.
That is just like me - start a new project instead of finishing other projects or cleaning & organizing the disaster area known as my craft room!
