Hobby Page Scrapbook Challenge

Here is this week's challenge - to embellish a page with something related to a past or neglected hobby of yours (before you started scrapbooking!!). I really liked the poem so thought I'd put a photo of the quilt I started a very LONG time ago -- it would fit a single bed right now -- but it is supposed to fit a king size bed. I have several smaller landscapes already done; just have to put a border around each one and figure out how to lay them out around the centre landscape.

Alex's Pages

I'm now trying to do my pages on Alex and Connor. Was going to finish the Mason boys pages first, however, I didn't want to disappoint Laura. When she saw my pages of Sam and Michael she asked if I didn't have any pictures of her sweet boys? Trust me, guys, I have pictures of everyone! My pictures didn't even hit the old-style photo albums, I had them in envelopes in drawers and in boxes. I spent weeks gathering and sorting them - probably because I've resorted into different categories whenever I get an idea for pages.

Carrie & Al arrived Friday around noon and visit with Mom the afternoon. When I was getting home from work I was right behind their car arriving at my place. Had a wonderful, although short, visit with them until they had to leave Saturday around 3 p.m. to get back on the road. They have to be back to work for Monday. They had beautiful pictures of their trip that I really enjoyed seeing. There were sooooo many photos that I didn't have time to see them all. I think that Carrie has a wonderful eye for taking photos and should submit some of her photos to magazines, such as Our Country!

Thanksgiving & Halloween

I've been having fun doing Halloween pages and discovered pages that I had started five years ago when I flew to Castlegar to visit Marlene & family for Thanksgiving! Here they are.

I still can't figure out how to add text and photos without the text squeezing out my photos so this probably isn't done the proper way....don't care....got my photos on anyway. I'm really enjoying the Scrapbooking Email Group that Laura started. It is really interesting to see other people's pages and gives you great ideas.

Karen (my sister-in-law) & Ross got marreid in Ottawa last Saturday. They are finally back home from their 2 week holiday which seemed like a month to me. We are invited over there for supper so I can't spend long on here.

My Gizmo is really hurting the last few days and acting his age (13). I'm pretty choked up this weekend. Unfortunately, last night Coco accidentally jumped off the chair onto Gizmo and hurt him some more ~~ Coco is pretty heavy.

Ernie's Birthday!

Today is Dad's 87th birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!! Hope that you are having a good day.
This work week can't be over soon enough. I have started packing for our Labour Day weekend camping trip to Sandy Point. A first - I am going along on Larry & Vern's trail ride. Apparently so are Gizmo and Coco. This should be very interesting as we've never taken Coco camping and the last time we took Gizmo camping he was a young dog. We camped in a motor home and not a tent.... Gizmo refused to do his bathroom duties because he wasn't in his own back yard. Sigh. Certainly hope that he is over that nonsense! At any rate, it is supposed to be hot weather this weekend and the campground is right beside the S. Saskatchewan River and a bridge. I've never been there but apparently it is very pretty although a very simple campground. Thankfully the Trail Guide outfit provides a cook and those blue plastic bathrooms that look like closed-in phone booths~lol.

FIRST-EVER POST

This is a new experience and I'm learning as I go. I'm hoping this Journal will allow me to exchange photos with my family and friends.
This is basically my experiment to become more computer literate (and maybe writing letters will become a thing of the past? or much faster and easier to correspond with those who own computers).
