Anna Letkeman McKee

Slowly, I am getting layouts done for my Heritage album.  This photo is of Mom's mom, most likely taken at Carver's where Anna worked - Irene (Mom) is on a horse in the background.

4 Yards of Variegated 3/4" wired ribbon makes...

3 flowers and leftover wire:

I stumbled upon flower making videos while checking out scrapbooking websites.  I need a lot of practise, but they are fun to make!   The small flower was the hardest one to make.  I'll need a lot more practise doing rose buds.

Ernie as a young boy

Ernie Sarver as a toddler and young boy.  I believe that Gynelle is standing with Dad in the top middle picture .

I bought 4 yards of gorgeous variegated wired ribbon today and have been attempting to gather it to make my first carnation (as demo'd in an online video)... I have a pinched nerve (?) in my left wrist and my hand is pretty much useless... the ribbon wire has snapped inside the ribbon twice!!   I've put it aside until my wrist heals and before I have no usable ribbon left!

Enter Harry Sarver

Did I get carried away with the background/details on this page!   Can you see the pictures of Hazel, Helen and Harry?  The Webster's Pages cardstock had enough detail ~ I probably shouldn't have layered the papers, never mind add two homemade flowers!  I have wanted to use the butterfly paper forever (a retreat gift) and have never found the right place for it.

Double Layout - Second Page

I found this cherry tree paper on sale at Michaels and thought it would work with the Dusty Attic cherry blossom branch.   Scrapbook Central carries very limited pieces of Dusty Attic so I've been on their website looking for the branch and can't find it.  I'm disappointed to discover that Dusty Attic only sells wholesale to retailers.    Looks like I got a bit carried away with the flowers I added to the page.

Heritage Album addition using Dusty Attic Cherry Blossom chipboard

I really love the PION cardstock for these types of layouts.  They have such soft, muted designs and colours.   I actually scrapped this picture a very long time ago and was not happy with the layout.  The paper I used was too bright and spoiled the effect of the picture.    This is a photocopied picture so when I went to carefully remove the cotton lace attached at the bottom, it removed some of my picture!!    Hence, the gathered leather, feather and metal accent with pearlized bead.    Looks like I applied too much "light" to the picture in editing - can barely see the title, "charm".  I sprayed Perfect Pearls Mist on the letters.  They actually go very well with the background paper however you sure can't tell here.
