I have learned that scrapbooking is seriously FUN when you do Halloween pages... and it pays to go to Michaels in early November to buy Halloween embellishments! These layouts are of my nieces and nephew, great nieces and nephews and even captured my sister in one:
This used to say, "Musings of a wannabe retiree/full time scrapbooker/ sewer/quilter/world traveller". However, I was forced to retire earlier than expected when I became too ill to work in May, 2016. So now I guess I'm going to remain a wannabe world traveller. Some day when we win the lottery I guess.

Office Scrapbook
I've finally updated our office scrapbook since Matt's Bar Admission on September 26th... Pam wanted to see it before she left on maternity leave so I had to get it done!
(I only scrapped one table out of three at our Cypress Club dinner as I wasn't the one taking the photos...forgot my camera...can you believe it!) Both Matt and Melissa's parents came for the celebration. Matt's brother and 2 friends from Calgary also came. Matt's parents are from Halifax and Melissa's are from Toronto.
Now I have to finish the baby quilt! I'm happy to report that I have fixed the sewing machine and all I have left to do is the binding. Yahoo! There comes a stage in any project where I just want to get it finished so that I can move on!

Autumnal Equinox
...otherwise known as Fall, starts tomorrow. Thankfully we are still having gorgeous, warm, sunny days. It is supposed to be 28 degrees today, 30 Friday, 31 Saturday, 33 Sunday! So... yes, we are going to squeeze in another camping weekend. I really need [want] to catch up on Scrapbook Challenges. Challenge 37 is going to be a complicated one for me; one that requires a lot of planning. I've changed my theme twice now; hopefully my current line of thought will be easier to do. When I can't come up with an idea on my own for a layout, often I will log onto the internet and start searching. Have you ever spent hours on the internet doing research and taking detailed notes, only to scrap the idea altogether later? [Very poor t.v. night] That is what I did last night. My research might come in handy for a future challenge so I'll tuck it away somewhere.
When Larry phoned I tried to pick his brain for a favourites or comparison list that I could do with pictures we have.
Wondering why I'm on here at this time of day? I'm relief receptionist for coffee break this morning. I am a person who should absolutely never operate a switchboard [and have never had the desire to] but all support staff take turns relieving for morning coffee break. For instance - I can't tell if an incoming call is dialing this office number or is being forwarded from a branch office of ours that is only open Mondays and Tuesdays... sigh. So, like most of the staff, I "play" on the computer while I'm doing switchboard relief because you can't get anything accomplished on someone else's computer anyway.
