This may be the page I use to start the album. Took me long enough to finish it! It is hard to tell here, but the background (PION) is a lighter green in the same tone as the title backer.
Despite avoiding Larry for a week, I now have his cold. Doubt there will be another page done real soon!
This used to say, "Musings of a wannabe retiree/full time scrapbooker/ sewer/quilter/world traveller". However, I was forced to retire earlier than expected when I became too ill to work in May, 2016. So now I guess I'm going to remain a wannabe world traveller. Some day when we win the lottery I guess.

A Friday Off
Would you believe its snowing again? Typical prairie March weather. We get the most snowfall of the entire winter when spring is supposed to be arriving.
I have finally started my Heritage album. I've been afraid to start because I want it to be perfect and know that won't happen. But start I must.
Scrapbook Central is stocking Dusty Attic (an Australian owned and operated Laser Cutting business, which designs and manufactures craft items and embellishments), papers from Australia and Sweden, and so, so many other goodies I can't resist. This corner scroll prompted me to start my heritage layouts.
I loved the pocket watch too. There are birdcages, fountains, hinges, photo frames, alphabets and more. Check out the website: they've now added gorgeous flowers!

Wearing of the Green
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone (tomorrow)! Although my family were all born in Canada, I have always liked to think of myself as Irish because my maternal grandfather was. I believe my maternal grandmother was Russian (or ? because she came from a tiny country bordering Russia). I never met my maternal grandparents as they passed away long before I was born. I remember trying to learn the Irish jig when I was a child because my Mom's maiden name was McKee and I thought I should know something Irish.
Hence, the emerald green metallic gel fingernail tips. Note I also had to photograph my newest acquisition... scrapbook magazines are always talking about chalks and I've never used them. Walmart's were less than half the price that Michaels wanted. As usual. Guess that is why you don't get weekly 40% off coupons from Walmart. At 40% off, Michaels is still more expensive than other stores. We have a very nice private scrapbooking store; small, but full of interesting things. But because they are small, they can't carry all of the supplies that Michaels can. More competition is needed.
